Hi, my name is Suzie Q and I am a spayed female Staffordshire Terrier mix. I am about 9 months old, so still a puppy with lots of puppy energy. I get along well with all the dogs I have met. I play very hard with my younger foster siblings and really like games like chase and tug-o-war but I am respectful of my senior foster siblings and play much more quietly with them. I enjoy stuffed squeaky toys and chewing on Nylabones and I love carrots as a treat. I was lucky enough to have an 8 year old boy come and visit with me one night and I spent most of my time covering him in kisses but other than that, I haven't been around kids much. ... (Read More)My behavior with cats is unknown. I really like soft places to cuddle like laps, couches and beds but I can also be content with a nice soft dog bed. I protest going into my crate by diving into a dog bed, rolling over and giving sad puppy eyes but once in the crate, I am well behaved. I am about 80% house trained, if I am on the first floor by the door, then I always let my people know I need to go outside but I am a little confused still on how to find the door or let people know on a second story. Remember, I am still a puppy but with a lot of love and a bit of training, I am going to be a wonderful new member to a lucky family. One more thing you should know about me, I have had Happy Tail and it may come back. This means I wag so much and so hard that I injure the tip of my tail by hitting it on walls and furniture, etc. This can make the tip of my tail bleed. Happy Tail is not serious but it may require bandaging my tail so I have padding on it to allow it to heal without further injury. I am actually pretty easy to bandage, I just sit in my foster mom's lap as she works. She found great instructions for bandaging at this website: http://www.grassmere-animal-hospital.com/happy_tail_bandaging.htm. A little timid at first. Once he warms up to you he is pretty active. Loves to run. He's great with other dogs and even cats. He is puppy pad trained and mostly potty trained.Cloud knows a few tricks.He also knows how to dance and will dance with you, if you putyour palms up. He's super lovable and the perfect lap dog. London is a passive girl who was adopted from us 6 months ago and then returned when her new family moved and they didn't accept pets She is shy and would do best in a quiet patient home. London was adopted from us 6 months ago and was just returned to the rescue because her family moved into a home where she wasn't accepted. She is leash crate and potty trained! LOVES to snuggle and lay we her human and even talks to you when you get home. Foxie is a very kind girl. She takes treats very gently and loves morning snuggle time. She was very very timid for a first few months we've had her and though positive reinforcement shes learned to be a happy dog (shes highly treat motivated) she walks great on leash and is potty trained. She will go into her crate easily but may howl once in there. A home with other dogs is required as they make her feel more at ease.
